Batman: Arkham Shadow explains its launch window and the new threat facing Gotham

Last month, we had the pleasant surprise to discover Batman: Arkham Shadow with a not very explicit teaser, which mainly served to give us a date during the Summer Game Fest Live 2024 this Friday, June 7th. The existence of this virtual reality game was not really a secret because of documents that were communicated to the FTC. Contrary to Batman: Arkham VRhowever, this is not Rocksteady who is in charge, but Camouflagedstudio owned by Meta and to whom we owe Marvel’s Iron Man VR. At the same time, Londoners probably already have a lot in common Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguedespite the failure… Before the event, description from theESRB gave some details about itmentioning that it will be an action-adventure title making us to incorporate Batman have Gotham City where he will investigate a mysterious cult attacking the citywith crime scenes, undercover missions and clashes with cultists, thugs and even police officers, all in hand-to-hand combat (hits and kicks), with the possibility of discretely eliminating enemies from behind. Perhaps disturbing lighting effects and screams of agony will also be present, with blood on the ground or spurting, for example when a character is stabbed in the hand.

As for the new trailer shown during the event, it introduces the threat of Rat Kingknown as rat catcher in the cartoonswhich will instill fear Gotham. We see that even the commissioner Gordon seems to succumb to the phenomenon affecting the city. Well, for playing in virtual reality, you’ll have to go back…

Batman: Arkham Shadow is expected exclusively on Meta Quest 3 at the end of the year, more precisely during the fall. You can get the headset VR on Amazon or to the Fnacsold for €549.99.
