La Maison Bernard, cult bubble house
The association Genius Loci founded by curator Marion Vignal offers exhibitions-
experiences in unusual architectures to make them known to the general public. After the
villa L’Ange Volant built by Gio Ponti in 1927 or the Atelier Ozenfant designed by
Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret, is the row of the Maison Bernard, an architectural jewel
anything but conventional located very close to the Bulles Palace bought in 1992 by the fashion designer
Pierre Cardin. At the origin of this creation, the meeting between the architect Antti Lovag and the industrialist Pierre Bernard. In the 1970s, the latter commissioned the “habitologist” to design his holiday home in Théoule-sur-Mer, near Cannes. vaults in this idyllic landscape to the sea The work, carried out entirely using
craft techniques, lasts almost ten years. It is about six hundred square meters of passages
